Description
In June 2013, the first power unit of a combined cycle gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 303 MW (2 blocks of 151.5 MW) was commissioned at PJSC Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works.
In Ukraine and the CIS it is the first station that allows to receive electricity by processing secondary energy resources (blast-furnace, coke and converter gases).
In combination with a combined-cycle power plant, gazagolders of blast furnace (100 thousand m3) and coke (50 thousand m3) gases are constructed. Today, work is underway to construct a gas-holder for converter gas (80,000 m3).
